Proposed Revision to SETA By-Laws
Important NoticeRevision to be voted on in December 2009 in conjunction with the election of new members to the SETA Board of Directors.


Shall the SETA Bylaws be amended to change Article IV, Section E., TERM OF BOARD DIRECTORS from “beginning July 1” to “beginning January 1” ?


E.      Term of Board Directors

Elected Board members will serve three-year terms beginning on January 1 following their election.  Members are limited to two consecutive terms.



Comments

The Board recommends a “YES” vote.  This amendment will align the Directors’ terms with SETA’s fiscal year and calendar conference cycle

 

Directors elected in 2009 will begin July 1, 2010.  Current directors as of July 1, 2010 will have their three year terms extended by six months to accommodate this change.  Directors elected in 2010 will begin January 1, 2011.
